Wild Yak is a London based independent production and general management company led by Producer Oliver King.


We specialise in bringing international work to new audiences and developing new writing, with our roots in theatrical production.


We produce, develop and manage all forms of live entertainment, including theatre, concerts, comedy and dance productions, as well as private events and commercial photo and video shoots. We have recently set up a new arm with a focus on developing original drama content for film and television.  


Wild Yak acts as general managers for a range of organisations and independent productions.

Director & Producer: Oliver King

After graduating from Durham University Oliver trained as an actor at Drama Centre London & The Boris Schukin Theatre School in Moscow before turning his hand to producing. He is the director of both Wild Yak and Belka Productions. 


Oliver's producing and general management credits include Life & Fate, Uncle Vanya, Tartuffe (Theatre Royal Haymarket) Queens of Syria (Young Vic, Gillian Lynne Theatre & UK Tour), The Suppliant Women (Gulbenkian) Counting Sheep, Lunch, Balaklava Blues (The Vaults, Belarus Free Theatre), Context Festival, Sun Line, Requiem for Aleppo (Sadler's Wells), Three Sisters (Vaudeville Theatre), And Here I Am (Cheltenham Everyman, UK & International Tour), The Sovremnnik Theatre Season (Piccadilly Theatre), Donkey Heart (Trafalgar Studios), Luce (Southwark Playhouse), Three Sisters, Uncle Vanya (Wyndham’s), A Dashing Fellow (New Diorama), Tied to You (Pushkin House), A Warsaw Melody (Arcola Theatre), Sunstroke (Platform Theatre), Piranha Heights (Old Red Lion), Mary Postgate, Hansel & Gretel (Edinburgh Festival) & the documentary film The World to Hear. 


Oliver is a member of the Society of London Theatre (SOLT) and also manages the UK based international arts charity, Developing Artists.

Development Director: Edward Romain

Edward trained as a barrister and thereafter spent 11 years raising funds across the third sector including in education, international development and the arts.  He was Director of Development at the Yehudi Menuhin School, a leading musical institution in the UK. Edward joins Wild Yak to take a lead on managing investor relations and new project development. 

Production Assistant: Henry Eaton-Mercer

Henry completed his Masters at RADA & Birkbeck in 2021, graduating with distinction from the Text & Performance course. He previously studied Classics at Cambridge, where he also gained experience as an actor, writer, director and producer.


He recently set up Entwine Theatre, producing and directing their debut piece, If We Ended This, at Camden People’s Theatre in August 2021, and is one half of songwriting duo Pocket Jam. Henry joined Wild Yak in February 2022 as production assistant.
