Wild Yak's film and television department, established in 2025, is an expansion to the company's voice and creative vision. Its producers have worked to develop over 60 hours of film and television across UK, US and global territories.

The company's output ranges from prestige documentary, specialist factual and true crime to scripted drama and comedy. We specialise in new writing and unheard stories that contain a political, social or historical focus.

Uncovering the turbulent journey of the British and Chinese productions of the Mongolian play 'The Mongol Khan', 'The Making of the Mongol Khan' entwines the escalating struggles of cultural performance, the powerful roots of Mongolian history, and the high-stakes world of international diplomacy.

'The Making of the Mongol Khan' combines blue-chip documentary filmmaking across multiple continents with an emergent current events narrative.


PROVIDENCE
Developed in collaboration with Thruline Entertainment (The Great, The Night Of, Devil's Peak), alongside executive producer and showrunner Kirk Ellis (John Adams, Sons of Liberty, Franklin), and written by Jay Parini and Roland Walters, Providence is an upcoming TV drama series in development, providing a new perspective to the early history and founding myths of the United States.

TRIPTYCH
Triptych is an award-winning horror short, executive produced by Wild Yak and directed by Sophia Ray. Currently in competition, Triptych has already won Best Horror at multiple short film festivals from Boston International to Flickers Vortex, and been nominated in multiple other awards categories everywhere from Hollyshorts to Abertoir.
